Bulgaria in 3 minutes :)
Bulgaria is the 2nd of 9 countries in the 18-day "Treasures of the Balkans" tour with Insight Vacations.
We spent 3 days exploring the country, starting in Veliko Tarnovo where we got to watch a traditional Bulgarian dance and visited the Tsarevets Fortress. We moved on to Sofia, the capital of the country, to see a couple of Orthodox Churches: Saint Nicholas and Alexander Nevsky, remains of Roman civilisation, stork areas, and of course tried local Bulgarian food. We ended our stay by visiting a 17th Century Merchant House and of course the famous UNESCO heritage, Rila Monastery.
