Magnificent aerial views of the Niagara Falls from the Canadian side

This blog post will be packed with photos instead of text because, as the saying goes, a picture paints a thousand words!

Starting from the top, whilst we were still on the bus, I couldn’t resist taking photos.

Had to get another photo as soon as we got down.

Here, we see one side, although this is not the famous horseshoe falls. You’ll see that in a bit.

There are hotels nearby so you could stay over the night. We didn’t – it was a day tour but we made the most out of our visit as you will see below (hint: requires flying above the falls)

But first, we got on the ferry, which you will be handed a raincoat to wear. Of course, we couldn’t resist taking a selfie!

As you will see on the above photo, the horseshoe falls is still quite faraway (on the top left).

But the photo below shows us coming near to the famous horseshoe falls. Just magnifico!

But of course, we had to make the most out of the visit, so we got on a helicopter ride. Here’s Frances getting excited.

And aboard the heli requires a selfie!

And here we go… the wonder that is Niagara Falls…

I mean…

The helicopter ride is a must-do. You’ve got to do it when you pay a visit!

Bonus: We had lunch and walked about the Niagara-on-the-Lake town.

This tiny little historic town is often overshadowed by the Niagara Falls and has gardens as well as a 19th century military fort.

This makes for the perfect stopover before or after visiting the Niagara falls.

This town is proud of its heritage, as shown with its preserved historic buildings.
